How is community living removing Urban Loneliness and getting people closer?

Urban loneliness is a virtual pandemic. Its hard to believe that while surrounded with millions of people, we do feel lonely but that’s the sad reality. We get so busy in our lifestyle and technology have made it worst. We are all the time on social media seeing what’s happening in someone’s life, being in the race of becoming better professionals. What actually we are losing behind is something which is very precious that is our “own self”.

The worst part is that it’s not existing only in younger generation, but have become very common amongst all age including children and seniors. Childhood & Retirement period earlier used to be so much fun as people would make friends, do what they want to without any feeling of judgement and just be themselves. But now everyone feels so alone in the crowd of competitiveness.

“The busier you get, the lonelier you feel”

“It is like the ‘water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink’ situation in India right now,” says physician and psychiatrist Shyam Bhat. “We have people everywhere; we are one of the most populated countries in the world. But, ironically, loneliness is becoming one of our biggest problems,” says Bhat, who heads Mindfit.
